We understand that you may have experienced something completely at odds with your previous world view, and we want to help you understand what you may have seen. We don't know all the answers--indeed, we know very few--but we are serious about finding out what we can, and we hope you can help us do just that.
You can also expect complete adherence to your wishes with regards to confidentiality and procurement of evidence. We hope to have the opportunity to study sites of repeat encounters, but we realize that the ONLY way you will allow complete strangers into your life is if you are comfortable with our team.
Our goal is simple: We want to talk to you about what you may have experienced. If the only thing we accomplish is to allow you the opportunity to talk to someone who will take you seriously, then we've done our job. If it leads to an ongoing research opportunity, then perhaps together we may find some answers to this mystery.
At Michigan Bigfoot, we actively solicit sighting reports, interview witnesses, and conduct on-site visits and investigations when possible. If the opportunity presents itself, we hope to do long-term field work at promising locatons.
We utilize everything from our own eyes and ears to more modern technological tools, such as infra-red motion sensing field cameras and digital audio recording systems, in the attempt to gather data and evidence. Typically, we spend anywhere from a few hours to several days in the field at any given location.
The idea is to correlate data from around the state of Michigan in the attempt to narrow down likely habitat and travel corridors. While some results may never be made public, we can only hope to be lucky enough to someday settle the question of these creatures' existence once and for all, at least to our own satisfaction and that of the witnesses we work with.
