Things NOT bigfoot...

So...did you think this was possibly a bigfoot track? Lots of people would, but they would be wrong. This track is only 8" or so long, but more importantly, it's part of a series of bear tracks. In this case the front and rear paw tracks "overstepped," creating an image very close to the classic bigfoot tracks often reported.
This is just one example of how easy it can be to make an honest mistake. In this case the track line was obvious, as was the small size, but if this had been a single larger track in a sandy or muddy area, it would have been much more difficult to determine the origin; hence, the importance of follow-up in research.

This section will eventually hold a library of both photos and recordings of "things not bigfoot" and is intended to be an educational tool. More to come shortly!
